Description

: Translate/Post-Edit and Proofread documents in the Human Resources sector. Ensure translated documents mirror the original source document. Properly utilize all appropriate supplemental materials (refer to client style guide, reference materials, glossaries, etc.) making sure they are consistently used throughout the jobs. Maintain databases and use translation memories Juggle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Keep Project Managers informed of project progress and meet client and internal deadlines. Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for your role and assigned by your manager. Make recommendations to your manager on ways to improve any processes, etc., as part of TransPerfect Montreal’s commitment to continual improvement. Complete administrative tasks in a timely fashion, in support of your work and of the company’s KPIs. Be able to organize the daily workload Be flexible with changes of priorities Own the quality of one or more dedicated account(s) or projects Oversee the results of the review step and resolve questions from linguists and in-country reviewers throughout the project life cycle Senior Translators are also occasionally required to take part in calls and meetings with the client to gather feedback in direct contact, to enforce the relationship with the client Take an active role in the testing and training of external vendors

Required Skills:

Excellent (written and verbal) communication skills and cultural knowledge of target and source languages (English and French for Canada). Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar. Ability to learn new skills quickly and be comfortable working with various technologies and interfaces. Ability to support multiple projects and manage shifting priorities while keeping accurate track record of time allotted to each. Exceptional problem solving/critical thinking skills. Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines. Positive attitude in the face of change, client-centered mindset and pro-active approach to problem avoidance and resolution.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor's degree, Translation Certificate, or their equivalent. Native fluency in Canadian French and near-native fluency in English. Solid experience with MS Office, Adobe software (i.e., PDF mark-ups), and CAT tools. Experience translating and proofreading documents in one of the above-listed subject matters. Experience with other document sharing platforms is considered an asset. Years of experience: mid-level (4+)

Présentation générale : 

Les langagiers sont des intervenants clés de TransPerfect Montréal pour les documents traduits de l’anglais au français canadien. Vos compétences langagières et votre expertise particulières dans ce domaine contribueront à la réalisation et à la finalisation du produit final avant sa livraison au client. Sous la direction de votre supérieur et en collaboration avec les gestionnaires de projets, vous aurez à traduire, à postéditer et à réviser des documents provenant de différents clients ou d’un client important particulier dans le secteur des Ressources Humaines.

Nous sommes présentement à la recherche d’un langagier principal possédant une expertise dans e secteur des Ressources Humaines.

Responsabilités : 

Traduire, postéditer et réviser des documents dans le domaine des Ressources Humaines. S’assurer que les documents traduits correspondent parfaitement au contenu du document source. Utiliser correctement tous les documents supplémentaires appropriés (consulter le guide de style du client, les documents de référence, les glossaires, etc.) en s’assurant de leur utilisation uniforme dans chaque projet. Tenir à jour les bases de données et utiliser les mémoires de traduction. Gérer de multiples projets et priorités dans un environnement en évolution rapide. Tenir les gestionnaires de projets au courant de la progression des projets et respecter les échéances internes et celles des clients. Réaliser toute autre tâche considérée comme appropriée pour votre poste et que votre supérieur vous confie. Formuler, auprès de votre supérieur, des recommandations relatives à l’amélioration des processus, entre autres, dans le cadre de l’engagement de TransPerfect Montréal envers l’amélioration continue. Effectuer des tâches administratives en temps opportun, à l’appui de votre travail et des indicateurs clés de performance de l’entreprise. Être en mesure d’organiser sa charge de travail quotidienne. Faire preuve de flexibilité en ce qui a trait aux changements de priorités. Assumer la responsabilité de la qualité d’un ou de plusieurs comptes attitrés ou projets. Examiner les résultats de l’étape de révision et répondre aux questions des langagiers et des réviseurs des clients tout au long du cycle de vie des projets. Les langagiers principaux doivent également parfois participer à des appels et à des réunions avec les clients pour recueillir directement leurs commentaires afin de consolider notre relation avec eux. Jouer un rôle actif dans la correction de tests et la formation des fournisseurs externes.

Compétences requises : 

Excellentes aptitudes en communication (tant à l’écrit qu’à l’oral) et excellentes connaissances culturelles des langues source et cible (anglais et français du Canada). Très grand souci du détail, de l’orthographe et de la grammaire. Capacité à acquérir de nouvelles compétences rapidement et être à l’aise pour travailler avec diverses technologies et interfaces. Capacité à prendre en charge plusieurs projets et à gérer des priorités changeantes tout en faisant un suivi précis du temps alloué à chacun d’entre eux. Aptitudes exceptionnelles en résolution de problèmes et esprit critique aiguisé. Capacité à faire preuve de professionnalisme en toute situation, notamment en cas d’échéance serrée. Attitude positive face au changement, état d’esprit axé sur le client et approche proactive en matière de prévention et de résolution des problèmes.

Expérience et qualifications requises : 

Au moins un baccalauréat, un certificat en traduction ou un diplôme équivalent. Parfaite maîtrise du français canadien et excellente maîtrise de l’anglais. Excellente maîtrise des logiciels MS Office et Adobe (marquages sur PDF) ainsi que des outils de TAO. Expérience en traduction et en révision de documents dans l’un des domaines susmentionnés. Toute expérience avec d’autres plateformes de partage de documents est considérée comme un atout. Nombre d’années d’expérience : niveau intermédiaire (4 ans et plus).
