About the Role

We’re excited to be looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team here at IMAX. You’ll primarily be responsible for assisting in the financial reporting and accounting for IMAX, working with multiple stakeholders across the company. Our ideal candidate will be excited to learn about IMAX’s business and will have an opportunity to grow as a finance and accounting professional.

What You’ll Do:

Prepare deliverables to support internal reporting of KPIs to senior management

Prepare supporting schedules for our periodic SEC and SEDAR filings as well as our statutory financial reporting

Prepare monthly calculations and reporting related to IMAX Theater Systems and customer contracts

Review and enhance all process and controls documentation as necessary

Ensure that all relevant SOX controls are being complied with on a monthly/quarterly basis

Review master data and the chart of accounts in SAP

Research, analyze, and assess the impact of new U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting standards and pronouncements

What You’ll Need:

Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent work experience

2+ years of financial reporting/corporate accounting experience

CPA, CA, CMA, CGA designation

Experience in analysis of financial information/data

Strong Excel skills

Nice to Have:

Experience with SAP preferred

Attention to detail and awareness of how your role and responsibilities fits into the broader mission of the Finance department and IMAX

The desire and ability to solve problems through a process that includes independent research, collaboration and persistence

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Collaborative mindset to work as part of a team

Coachable and versatile in order to respond to work environment and time sensitive demands
