Reporting to the fattening supervisor, the hog farm worker manages the farm for which he/she is responsible so as to raise good quality hogs according to the procedures in place and the available technologies, while properly controlling production costs.

We are looking for people who are:

In good physical condition (can regularly handle the animals and do maintenance work) Generally knowledgeable about agricultural maintenance Independent and resourceful (to carry out several duties in specific timeframes) Good at planning time, so as to accomplish all daily tasks Animal lovers and dedicated to obtaining the best possible results Highly observant 

Key responsibilities:

Check animals, hog barns and production material on a daily basis to ensure proper operation of all farm facilities Feed hogs to ensure optimal growth and production results Order feed Give animals medications as appropriate to ensure health of the herd Clean, wash and disinfect pens after animals leave Receive piglets and count them with the transporters Write up reports regarding herd, equipment and buildings Help load animals Do maintenance on equipment and buildings to prevent deterioration Keep clean and in good condition the building interiors/exteriors and the farm in general Apply HACCP and OSH standards  Apply supervisor’s recommendations Be responsible for farm’s alarms, or replace them All other related duties, as requested by supervisor

In addition to possessing technical knowledge, the worker must be highly rigorous in complying with the different regulations, standards and rules established by the company.

Schedule : Permanent, full time 

Location : Montérégie, vehicle provided
