Development Opportunity – Engineer-in-Training
Are you an Engineer-in-Training looking for an opportunity in the oil and gas industry? There is nothing more valuable than gaining hands on field experience which will benefit you for years to come in your career as an Engineer.
Tundra has a development opportunity available for a Engineer-in-Training based out of Virden, Manitoba . The opportunity consists of spending approximately 24 months in our Southwest Manitoba or Southeast Saskatchewan fields and transitioning through various departments including Facilities, Operations Engineering, Production Engineering, Drilling, Completions and Workovers/Downhole Maintenance.
Following your time in the rotation program, we would look at transitioning you into an EIT/Engineer position where your skills and interest align.
We employ EIT’s and Engineers in our Drilling, Completions, Workovers, Production Engineering, Facilities, Operations, Reservoir and Exploitation Departments across our Virden, MB, Estevan, SK, and Calgary, AB offices.

Bachelor of Engineering Valid Driver’s License Willingness to achieve certification in:H2S Alive Certificate First Aid/ CPRATV Safety CourseWHMISTDG Mechanical abilities are considered an asset. Collaborate well with others. Ability to identify problems, brainstorm and analyze answers, and implement the best solutions. Strong safety conscience Strong mechanical aptitude Required to reside within a 45-minute drive of the assigned field. Must conform to facial hair standards for wearing respiratory protective equipment as required by Enform. Required to be on call. Required to drive to a variety of work sites using company vehicles including all terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, etc. Exposure to all weather conditions Exposure to potential hazards eg. toxic chemicals such as hydrogen sulphide.
