As a pivotal member of our welding crew, you'll assist Welders with the layout, fitting, and welding/installation of custom-fabricated steel, carbon, and stainless steel.

This position is based in Conklin, AB and is a temporary position. This position is scheduled to start August 31st, 2024 and run until mid-October. This position offers camp accommodations only. 

What would you be doing?   

Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and tools to use and lay out the sequence of tasks.  Must be able to measure, cut, and prepare metal joints for welding  Spark watch, grinding and buffing.  Join pipe sections related to equipment and secure in position.  Install supports, walkways, and platforms as per specifications.  Perform other duties as needed. 

Does this sound like you?  

Registered 1st year or 2nd year apprentice Welder or previous experience as a Welder's Helper  Required safety tickets - CSTS 2020, H2S Alive, WHMIS, Fall Pro, Confined Space, CSO Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required. Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.
