Director, Grants, Strategic Lead Climate

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incoming Director of Grants for Climate & Health, will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the Foundation’s philanthropic strategies in climate change & environment, and health. The new Director will build the next phase of the strategic plan for the programs and explore meaningful partnerships in the areas of nature-based solutions, Indigenous led wildlife management and response, sustainable agriculture, methane emissions reduction, youth mental health and well-being, amongst others. The Director will be supported by a Research & Grants Officer and shared administration. Focused on impact assessment, the Director of Grants will monitor, measure, and evaluate grants against the mission of the Foundation.

As Director of Grants, you share in the Foundation’s belief that climate change is the single most pressing problem facing our planet. As the ideal candidate, you are passionate about the environment, youth capacity building, and health. You bring a track record of working in the climate and environment field, ideally with some exposure to agriculture. Your strategic and action-orientated mindset consistently delivers impactful results. As an effective communicator and relationship builder, you forge productive partnerships and ensure that the grants portfolio achieves the intended objectives. Focused on culture building, you have sound leadership potential and bring positivity, enthusiasm, and initiative to the work that you do. The role is based downtown Toronto with an expectation to be in office during working hours.
