Neighbourly Pharmacy  is looking for a  Pharmacy Student  to join our  Saskatoon-33rd St W, SK  location at  Mayfair Drugs .

Job Description:

Reporting to the Store Operator/Pharmacy Manager, and under the supervision of a pharmacist, this role is responsible for performing specific dispensing functions as outlined by provincial regulations and standards of practice.

8 to 12 hours per week. The store is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 6:00 and Saturday from 9:00 to 5:00 There is also the potential for more hours during school breaks and part-time opportunities during the school year (flexible based on schedule).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The pharmacy student must be always under the supervision of a pharmacist. All dispensing functions performed by a pharmacy student must be carried out following provincial regulations and standards of practice.

Filling, preparing and labelling prescription refills. Billing and adjudication. Compounding. Medication change management for compliance packaging for care home customers. Preparing care home orders for delivery. Communication with nursing staff at care homes. Assisting the pharmacist in their daily tasks. Locate the medication, select the prescription container, and count/pour the medication. Ensure that the original container, prescription container contents, and label are checked and initialled by the pharmacist.

Qualifications & Skills:

Currently enrolled in the  PharmD program  at any level. Previous Retail Pharmacy experience is an asset. Kroll experience is an asset. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Able to work independently and have experience multi-tasking. Professional attitude and ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers. Due to this position’s sensitive nature, the successful candidate must complete a Criminal Record Check.

4-hour shift 8-hour shift Day shift Morning shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
