JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to add his/her expertise to the team. The technician ensures that aircraft are maintained in a seaworthy condition and ready to fly at all times.

Responsibilities

Ensure that work performed on any aircraft or component thereof complies with manufacturer's recommended standards, Canadian Aviation Regulations and company policies and procedures. Ensure that quarantined parts are properly labeled and routed to quarantine Ensure that all spare parts are inspected and certified prior to installation Sign all forms or work files applicable to his/her work, in accordance with company policies and procedures Assist in the training and instruction of personnel Ensure that such training is always valid All other related duties

Skills and qualifications

Recognized diploma in aircraft maintenance techniques, avionics maintenance or aircraft structure recognized by Transport Canada, or any other accredited course. 1 year experience working on aircraft(s) Ability to work on tasks requiring excellent judgment and initiative Specialized technical skills Keen mind and attention to detail Team player and proactive Physical fitness May be required to work outdoors Bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written) is an important asset

Required experience

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
