QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience

Graduation from a recognized university program in Physiotherapy. Current practising full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC). Eligible for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA). Relevant courses in pediatrics, plus two (2) years' experience in pediatric rehabilitation, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training. Valid BC Driver's License.

Skills And Abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with families, young people, and other professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize his/her time and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise assistants and family members in carrying out services to the child, which are the responsibility of the physiotherapist.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated/referenced communication, interpersonal and team skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of Physiotherapy in a family-centred approach to care.
  • Physically and emotionally able to perform the duties of the position.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with other therapists (particularly in the defined area) and with the Program Coordinator and the Senior.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize written and verbal presentations.
