Your responsibilities in a few words  

Manage the daily financial operations of several companies, ensuring that all needs are effectively met - Prepare accurate financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations - Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve financial operations - Lead the budgeting process, including setting guidelines, supporting departmental budget preparations, and developing financial forecasts to guide business decisions - Monitor and manage cash flow, forecast future liquidity needs, and ensure sufficient funds are available to meet operational requirements - Develop and maintain internal controls to protect company assets, ensure the integrity of financial reports, and comply with legal requirements - Oversee tax planning to optimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements, including the preparation and submission of tax returns - Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit - Provide strategic financial analysis and advice to management - Supervise accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency - Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. 

Your assets for this position 

  • Hold a CPA designation 
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position 
  • Have experience in building a team (an asset) 
  • Possess experience with QBO 
  • Demonstrate exceptional skills in analysis, numerical calculations, and problem-solving 
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities 
  • Manage confidential information with discretion 
  • Knowledge in financial reporting and/or project management 
  • Be detail-oriented and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines 
  • Proficiency in English at a native level and functional proficiency in French 
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
