GOMACO Operator

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced GOMACO Operators to work seasonally in a full-time capacity, in various locations throughout Edmonton. The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect.

Responsibilities:

Safe operation of GOMACO concrete equipmentWork with all crew members to complete all duties and tasks normally associated with machine-poured concrete, and road constructionPerform daily preventative maintenance on equipment (e.g. performing pre-trips, greasing the machine, etc)Load/unload/move the equipment

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience with GOMACO operation and working with the concrete crewsMinimum 3 years of municipal road building industry experienceThorough knowledge of the safe operation of GOMACO and minor repairs of the sameAbility to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressureMust possess a valid class 5 driver’s license or above with a clean drivers abstractHigh attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directionsAbility to work in varying weather conditionsAbility to work collaboratively in a team and independently with little supervisionWillingness and ability to work extended hours and weekendsValid safety certifications

This is a seasonal position and starts in spring of every yearThis position is eligible for over-timeCompany vehicle may be providedSome travel outside of Edmonton may be requiredTraining will be provided for various activitiesWe offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months and you may continue your benefits during the winter months (off season).Potential on call work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season.
