Commodity Manager III, Agro

What you’ll do:

The Agro Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Agro Department byproviding leadership, direction and oversight to the Agro commodities’ operations, programs, and policies. Together with the Senior Agro Centre Manager, you will assist in the annual budget process. You will collaborate with the Petroleum Manager and Agro Centre Sales Representative to elevate sales and the overall customer experience. Provide leadership, including the recruitment, onboarding, goal setting, performance management, training, and development of the Agro team members. Responsible for the purchase, pricing, scheduling, and dispatching of incoming fertilizer. You will actively make marketing efforts, adhere to advertising standards, and contribute input to the retail’s marketing plans. You will aid in the development of the tactical and strategic plan by researching and providing recommendations to senior management on trends and required strategies.

Qualifications:

Grade 12 Diploma CCA or P. Ag preferred. 6+ years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years of experience leading support services technical and/or professional employees. Retail experience is considered an asset. Experience in overseeing and monitoring customer satisfaction levels. Experience in coaching and providing feedback to other team members. Ability to control operational costs, maximize operational efficiency through increased sales and margins.
