Position Summary- Bayshore Integrated Care Solutions 

The Physiotherapist, under the direction of the Manager of Rehabilitation or Clinical Manager- Branch level, is responsible for completion of professional activities that include: assessment, treatment, education, and management of clients requiring Physiotherapy intervention, in accordance with professional standards.

Partnership with Kingston Health Science Centre (KHSC) allows us to streamline patient transitions home16 week home rehab program with the primary goals of keeping patients out of hospital and to enhance their safety and well-being in their homes utilizing a client-centered approach.

Clinical Responsibilities :

 Responsible for the assessment of clients, establishment and ongoing evaluation and revision of treatment programs, including goals and discharge plans. Assessment and treatment of patients with varying diagnoses, abilities, and goals. Maintains current and accurate clinical records according to standards set by the College of Physiotherapists. Documents assessment results, goals, treatment, client progress and discharge plans. Collaborates with other members of the health care team as needed. Communicates pertinent information and recommendations to clients / care providers Provides education regarding treatment strategies as needed. Observes the performance of those assisting in the physiotherapy program and provides guidance as necessary.

Requirements

• Maintain active good standing with the Provincial College of Physiotherapists.

• Participate in ongoing internal and/or external education activities

• Adhere to Bayshore Healthcare / Bayshore Therapy & Rehab Policies and Procedures

• Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System

• Participate in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.

• Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.

• Complete other tasks as requested

Job Qualification

Education
Masters Degree or recognized equivalent in Physiotherapy.

Current registration, and in good standing with, the applicable provincial College of Physiotherapists.

Experience

Prior experience with in home assessments and treatments Knowledge of auto insurance and the legal system is an asset particularly medical/legal report writing. ADP Authorizer is an asset
