Within the Energy team, as a Senior Civil Structural Engineer:

Your responsibilities Carry out, in collaboration with the technical staff, the foundation, structural, building and civil engineering design for low, medium and high voltage electrical transmission and distribution substation projects; Prepare work plans and tenders for new projects; Supervise and develop junior/intermediate engineers and technicians; Participate in ongoing customer relations, inspections and site interventions; Design feasibility and detail engineering plans for electrical infrastructure; Analysis and design of electrical substation buildings; Perform interventions in terms of surface and underground work; Follow up on the preparation of civil engineering plans and specifications originally prepared by a civil engineer; Design structural steel and concrete drawings according to the 3D analysis and design codes in use in Canada and internationally; Supervise CAD technicians in the preparation of drawings; Supervise structural inspectors in the preparation of inspection reports and repair designs; Prepare specifications for buildings, foundations and structural work.
Your profile Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent; Minimum ten (10) years of professional experience in civil structural engineering; Member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario; Experience in energy sector’s infrastructure, structures and buildings; Familiar with building codes and major design codes and standards; Proficiency with structural engineering software and computer-aided design (CAD) software; Working knowledge of Revit and BIM software (asset) Fluency in English, both written and spoken; Effective organizational and report writing skills; Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines; Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, good sense of priorities and attention to details; Have initiative, good observation skills, curiosity and ingenuity.
