| About the role

The Senior Product Analyst, Emerging Payment Products, will be part of the Product Management group that plays a role in advancing Payments Canada’s objective to transfer the business and shape the future of payments. The incumbent is responsible for hands-on day-to-day activities coordinating, analyzing and executing on Emerging Payment Products work packages, including activities for the Real-time Rail (RTR). This role will collaborate closely with Transform, Delivery, Run pillars as well as other cross-functional, to provide detailed knowledge of market conditions needed to ensure that necessary features, functionality and supporting structures are in place. 

This is a temporary position for a 13 Month Term.

| What you’ll do

Responsible of the Senior Product Analyst include:

Product Lifecycle Support: Assist in the pre-discovery and discovery phases using market research and stakeholder insights to develop value propositions and business requirements, and provide first-level input into the product vision, roadmap, and release plan; Stakeholder Relationships: Build solid relationships with key stakeholders, including Industry Relations, Communications, Delivery, Operations, and Risk groups, to ensure successful outcomes throughout the product life cycle, and manage interactions proactively; Administration: Coordinate stakeholder meetings, prepare high-quality content for executive engagements, and manage structured document management and storage on shared platforms like Google Drive; Analysis & Research: Own medium to large risks and issues, conduct data analysis, develop user journey flows, review product designs, collaborate with engineering teams to improve user flows, and lead the development of user tips and guides; Strategy & Business Development: Lead the development and submission of business cases, resolve medium to large complex business issues, oversee the product life cycle, and support senior team members in strategic decision-making.

| Minimum Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics or related discipline;  Ability to effectively bridge cross-functional teams, and vendor teams to ensure successful delivery of the defined output; Experience in liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels; Government of Canada Reliability clearance or eligibility to obtain.

| Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of payments is considered an asset;  Experience working in a matrix environment is a strong asset.

| Salary Range

Based on qualifications and experience: $93,637 and $117,046.
