About the Role

Responsibilities

Class preparation; facility and equipment set-up. Program design for all levels of Pilates. Lead participants on proper breathing techniques and poses. Document participant attendance. Support and mentor developing student staff. Supervision of participants to correct and improve experience techniques. Regular input, feedback, and communication with the Fitness & Customer Experience Supervisor regarding operational enhancement of the MOVE MORE group fitness program. Facility equipment inspection and maintenance; report as required. Build meaningful relationships by engaging and communicating with participants, assessing participant capability, actively listening, showing compassion, building rapport, and offering ongoing coaching/motivation. Demonstrate professionalism (communication, uniform, punctuality). Work effectively in a team environment. Complete MRU online Risk Management training.

Qualifications

Required

Current Pilates certification 1 - 3 years of Pilates instructor experience

Preferred

Degree or diploma in a fitness/health-related area of study from a recognized college or university.  Additional specialty-related certifications.
