Plant Contoller

Reporting to the Director, Global Ops Controller, the Plant Controller will provide leadership in the maintenance, design and review of Corcym Canada Corp's costing, financial reporting and budgeting systems, to ensure that accurate and timely information is readily available to appropriately manage the company.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop annual budget and standard costs calculation
• Prepare and review of financial forecasts
• Monthly review and analysis of manufacturing variances
• Prepare financial statements for business decisions
• Perform day-to-day maintenance and entry of costing systems data in BPCS & SAP
• Prepare monthly costing Journal Entries
• Overall review and analysis of monthly financial statements prepared by the Finance Manager
• Schedule and manage the annual inventory count in coordination with Vancouver Operations personnel
• Schedule and manage the daily cycle counting process in coordination with Vancouver Operations personnel
• Oversee preparation for and coordination of year-end audit at Vancouver location in conjunction with the external auditors
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Further requirements:

• University or college degree in related discipline
• Professional accounting designation such as CGA or near completing requirements for designation
• 3 to 5 years of experience with standard costing systems and manufacturing variances calculation
• Prior experience in preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements
• Excellent understanding of the development and maintenance of standard costing system and Manufacturing Variances calculation.
• Prior experience and solid background with global financial reporting and accounting systems
• Proficiency in oral and written English
• Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of staff
• Must have excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Must have solid experience with ERP accounting systems. BPCS or SAP would be preferred but not essential
• Work autonomously, in alignment with Corporate guidelines and able to follow written procedures
