Job Description

We are seeking a Trust Fund Accountant to join our BPA team in Mississauga.

The Trust Fund Accountant is responsible for handling a small book of business of trust fund clients.

The Trust Fund Accountant will:

Prepare journals and maintain up-to-date GL transactions; Reconcile all balance sheet and income statement accounts; Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements Prepare government remittances; Monitor cash flow and prepare bank transfers to invest surplus funds; Prepare cash flow, investment and other reports as required by clients; Prepare working papers and assist during annual audits; Evaluate and handle client related inquiries; Handle day-to-day accounting duties for the clients.

To be successful as a Trust Fund Accountant with BPA, you will need:

3 or more years of working in an office environment with a focus on accounting; Experience with full-cycle accounting College or University Diploma in business administration, with a focus on accounting; Excellent computer skills, including MS office applications with intermediate to advanced level in MS Excel; Co-operative team player with strong math skills.

All-star candidates will have:

Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent Working towards CPA certification is an asset 3 years’ experience in a corporate accounting environmen
