What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Petroleum Manager, you will:

Demonstrate and promote Sherwood Co-operative’s values of Teamwork, Pride, Service and Excellence consistently in attitude and action. Work co-operatively with team members to deliver legendary service to make all guests and employees of our Co-op feel “at home here.” Provide leadership and direction in the execution of financial results and store budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses, and profits. Ensure standards of location and department presentation and operations are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, inventory control, purchasing, and the delivery of world-class customer service. Provide leadership in the area of employee relations, including hiring, training, development, performance management, discipline, and administration of co-op policies. Build and maintain a strong culture of employee and customer engagement within the department.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Management and have:

A minimum of three years of retail management experience. Background in Home & Building materials is an asset. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Excellent interpersonal skills, with a special skill of motivating employees to achieve strong results. A solid understanding of computer applications, including Microsoft Office. Demonstrated ability to adapt to shifting priorities. Analytical and organized; committed to producing quality work. You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do. You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
