Warehouse (Afternoons)

Alexandria Moulding is a leading moulding manufacturer and distributor of wood and wood composite mouldings in North America & the world and is currently comprised of five distinct facilities within Canada and the United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure product quality assurance; Replenish; Strapping; Rework; Operate various equipment; Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS :

Basic computer skills; Repetitive tasks; Handle heavy up to 50 lbs.; Physically demanding; Standing for extended periods; Attention to detail; All necessary training will be provided; Self-motivated and works well under pressure Good communication and interpersonal skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Due to forklifts and other heavy equipment traveling through the Warehouse, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing uneven walking surfaces. Capable of physically demanding work and standing for extended periods. Bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, push, pull, move, and lift to 50lbs. Warehouse environment can be dusty and noisy. Fluctuations of temperature are common, some outdoor exposure during the workday/ Wet floors may occur during rainy or snowy weather or at other times depending on what has transpired in the environment (, cleaning of floors….). Sharp and/or rough edges will typically be encountered. Warehouse equipment and treated lumber may emit fumes. Some equipment may require electric voltage. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phone and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent Minimum of one (1) year warehouse distribution experience Prior lumber experience desired Must have basic math and analytical skills Must be computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Self-started, pro-active and able to take initiative Basic familiarity with construction tools and equipment Ability to multi-task and prioritize work duties as required Understanding and willingness to maintain HSE standards

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: Afternoons 3:30 pm - 12:00 am

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday

Salary: $$ per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
