Cameco Fuel Manufacturing is seeking a full-time employee to support our Port Hope plant. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Port Hope Lead Maintenance System & Reliability Technologist. 

Position and Responsibilities

Assist to continually improve general reliability programs and related processes and /or equipment-specific activities required to maximize equipment and system reliability and reduce life cycle costs. This includes but not limited to regularly reviewing, updating, and optimizing maintenance strategies, Maintenance Task Instructions (MTI’s), FMEA’s, etc. Perform RCA’s (Root Cause Analysis) as required. Assist with investigation of significant downtime causes (due to reliability) and corrective actions. Design/modify /analyze specific asset maintenance strategies. Perform some Creation, Editing of Maintenance plans. MDG requests for stock parts Collect feedback to Support departments to update and optimize MTI’s. Maintain periodic review of MTI’s for KPI Support Reliability programs oil analysis, thermographic inspection, vibration & ultrasound analysis. Support of Continual Improvement Projects based on FMEA recommendations.

Requirements of the position:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Technologist Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical. In-depth understanding of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM or RCM II) 1 to 3 years previous relevant job experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledge/Understanding of Vibration, Infrared, Lubrication and Ultrasonic Analysis Working knowledge of SAP PM and MM modules.

ISO 18436 – 2 Cat 1 (Vibration Analysis) ISO 18436 – 4 Cat 1 (Lubrication Analysis) Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis Tools Understanding, Development and Maintenance of Failure Mode Effects Analysis Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience.
