About the Opportunity

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) practices within the LPN Act and Regulations, LPN Code of Ethics, and the LPN Standards of Practice. The LPN functions within the Collaborative Care Delivery Model and is accountable for the provision of holistic and comprehensive care to meet the needs of individuals, families, and groups. The LPN applies practical nursing theory in the assessment of patients and collaborates in the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation and revision of the nursing care plan for the patient. The successful candidate practices within the Nova Scotia College of Nurses (NSCN).

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nurses (NSCN)
  • CPR Certification or BCLS – C
  • Previous long term care experience an asset
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with patients, families, and co-worker
  • Demonstrated clinical skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.

Hours
  • Part Time, Long Assignment, 7.5 hrs biweekly
Compensation and Incentives

$31.12 - $36.33 hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
