PURPOSE OF JOB: This role is responsible for the roll out of the core template to the countries and is supporting the country in their transformation path by investigating and raising gaps to the core template, testing defect resolution related to process and related business acceptance testing. ASSIGNMENT: Job specific key tasks and responsibilities Key Tasks:
  • The Ingka BOT program rolls out a global template in which the current accounting system CODA is replaced by SAP S4/HANA. Furthermore, SAP Ariba is implemented in the S2P area. O2C will remain on legacy systems. As SAP will not function as an ERP system, the challenge lies in integrating SAP with the legacy systems while securing tax treatment and tax reporting.
  • Where allocated to cluster deployments support all process related roll out activities, as required by the project, including supporting the process lead in deployment preparation and due diligence, process education, fit-gap analysis and facilitation of fit gap sessions, process design, support for change impact assessment and providing process input training materials review, user acceptance testing and hyper-care as well as ad-hoc tasks required for project delivery.
Template deployment Process SME - Tax responsibilities:
  • Follow up on the actions derived from Fit Gap and gaps to be solutioned or included in change management as part of Fit Gap phase,
  • Drive cost benefit analysis for supporting the gaps to be included in the scope of the cluster
  • Process input to change Impact Assessment, define the TO-BE change from a tax perspective and its impact to the future ways of working.
  • Provide input into Change & Comms plan for addressing impacts identified (this can cover a lot of activities: workaround definition, preparing/reviewing content for comms, etc.)
  • GBO transition (knowledge transfer, activity split discussions, DTP review)
  • Data migration (extractions/ validations mainly needed in exceptional cases)
  • SIT (scenarios input, validation of specific results only from process perspective)
  • UAT (Test Scenarios selection/input)
  • Cutover (planning & execution limited)
  • Training (Knowledge Transfer to trainers, materials review)
  • Hand-hold country and GBO resources throughout the project to secure an understanding of the process and operating model and to guide the transformation and provide clarification of any area of concern or doubt
COMPETENCES Capabilities and Knowledge
  • Excellent ability to understand Tax requirements from country perspective in a system landscape
  • Good understanding of process management including governance and improvement methods
  • Good understanding of the connection of the processes from and to end perspective.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills; able to clearly articulate their process in business terms and facilitate alignment on process changes
  • Good knowledge of Indirect Taxes and tax automation
  • Good knowledge of Tax Reporting and automation
Key previous experience and proven skills
  • 10+ years of experience in different areas of indirect tax
  • Degree educated or equivalent professional experience, able to quickly absorb large amounts of information, manage and simplify ambiguity.
  • Resilient with a good sense of humor
  • S4 Hana Project Systems Modules
  • SAP ACR / DRC experienceand other tax reporting solutions
  • Experience with external tax engines in an SAP environment
