The successful incumbent will be a key member of the core Software Development team creating and supporting (internally and externally) an Enterprise Suite of transportation and logistics modules. You will have technical ownership for your functional areas and understanding of customer problems and how they can be turned into solutions, and will be engaged in the research, development, delivery, 3rd line support and systems maintenance processes. The incumbent will also play a key role in assisting other areas of the organization in the successful configuration of message exchanges between its customers.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will be situated in the following domains:
• Key member of the core Software Development team creating and supporting an Enterprise Suite of transportation and logistics modules. 
• Design and build innovative solutions that can solve complex problems. 
• Technical ownership for your functional areas and understanding of customer problems and how they can be turned into solutions.
• Research, development, delivery, 3rd line Support and systems maintenance.
• Seek improvements in the existing implementations of system integration modules.
• Participate in modernization efforts to port the existing code to modern operating platforms.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience developing backend service components.
• Experience with Soft Velocity Clarion 6, 7 and 8 is a plus.
• Experience with EDI or XML a plus.
• Experience with transportation management, logistics, warehouse management, inventory management, customs brokerage, or accounting a plus.
• Self-motivated, passionate, innovative and strong sense of accountability and ownership.
• Commitment to good “clean code” development practices, including source control, bug tracking, object-oriented design, and developer-driven testing.
• Fit into an entrepreneurial culture that is a fast-paced and proactive environment.
• Strong focus on quality, reliability, sustainability and scalability.
• Excellent verbal and written documentation skills.
• University degree in Computer Science/Engineering.

LOCATION : 
This is a remote opportunity, open to applicants authorize to work in Canada or the United States. 

Salary Range: $90,000 to 100,000 CAD “Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills as well as the years of experience you have. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation.”
