Responsabilities:  Team Manager
Supervise and guide the staff under your responsibility;
Plan and organize team meetings;
Participate in the integration and performance evaluation process (constructive feedback) of the professionals in your team;
Assist your superior in assessing and establishing human resource needs within your team;
Ensure coordination, assignment, and prioritization of projects for your team;
Monitor the budget for the team's various projects and support project managers in each project's profitability;
Ensure adherence to project timelines;
Participate, as needed, in dispute resolution involving employees, collaborating with your superior and HR.
Project Manager
Act as an expert, a reference, a mentor for the entire division and the firm;
Understand key regulatory requirements and current industry standards related to the environment;
Conduct, coordinate, or supervise various environmental studies, ensuring respect for budgets and established schedules;
Write and review various technical reports following current procedures and standards and actively contribute to standardizing these reports;
Implement best project management practices and promote them to the division's project managers: project planning, budget management, kickoff meetings, client follow-up, on-time project delivery, diligence, and quality;
Participate, alongside the division head, in the resource development plan for the division;
Participate, as needed, in field investigations, inspections, and testing on a wide range of projects;
Manage and oversee assigned projects, ensuring work planning, execution, and follow-up of ongoing projects;
Monitor the quality of work done by project managers and field technicians;
Conduct, analyse and draft environmental reports.
Profile : 
Education: To hold a university degree in civil and /or geology engineering;
Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in the geotechnical field. Belonging as a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO);
Technical Skills: Experience overseeing a range of projects and leading a team of project engineers and/or civil technicians;
Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of both provincial and federal regulations;
Sampling Expertise: Define the need for sampling, determine best practices, and assess the reliability of the results;
Data Interpretation: Evaluate soil characterization and laboratory analysis;
Report Preparation: Draft comprehensive geotechnical reports;
Communication: Capable of conveying findings to stakeholders, including property owners, regulators, and the public;
Driver license: hold a valid driver licence.

Sous la supervision du Directeur, le titulaire du poste agira à titre de gestionnaire d’équipe pourGroupe ABS inc. Pour son équipe, il est responsable d’assurer le suivi auprèsdes directeurs de projets, des chargés de projets ainsi que des adjoints chargésde projets afin de s’assurer du bon déroulement des projets et des servicesrendus aux clients.
Principales responsabilités
Gestionnaire d’équipe Superviser et encadrer le personnel sous sa responsabilité ;
Planifier et organiser des réunions d’équipe ;
Participer au processus d’intégration et d’évaluation de la performance (rétroaction constructive) des professionnels de son équipe ;
Assister son supérieur dans l’évaluation et l’établissement des besoins en ressources humaines requis au sein de son équipe ;
Assurer la coordination, l’attribution et la priorisation des projets pour son équipe ;
Assurer le suivi budgétaire des différents projets de son équipe et soutenir les chargés de projets dans la rentabilité de chaque projet ;
Veiller au suivi de la facturation des projets de son équipe, l’approbation des factures des sous-traitants et le suivi de paiement auprès des clients ;
Veiller au respect des échéanciers des différentes phases des projets ;
Participer, au besoin, à la gestion de litiges qui peuvent survenir avec des employés en collaboration son supérieur et les ressources humaines ;
Directeur de projets
Agir à titre d’expert, de référence, de mentor et de personnes ressources en environnement pour l’ensemble de la division et également pour la firme ;
Comprendre les exigences réglementaires clés et les normes actuelles de l'industrie associées à l’environnement ;
Réaliser, coordonner ou encadrer la réalisation d’études environnementales ayant des ampleurs variées, en s’assurant du respect des budgets et des échéanciers établis ;
Rédiger et réviser différents rapports techniques selon les procédures et standards en vigueur et participer activement à l’homogénéisation du contenu de ces rapports ;
Implanter les meilleures pratiques en gestion de projet dans les projets exécutés et promouvoir auprès des chargés de projet de l’expertise les meilleures pratiques en gestion de projet : planification de projet, gestion budgétaire, réunion de démarrage, suivi à la clientèle, livraison des projets à temps, rigueur et qualité ;
Participer, en collaboration avec le chef de division, au plan de développement des ressources de la division ;
Participer au besoin, à des investigations sur le terrain, d’inspection et des services d’essais sur une grande variété de projets ;
Gérer et administrer les projets confiés et assurer la planification des travaux, l’exécution et le suivi des projets en cours ;
Contrôler la qualité des travaux effectués par les chargés de projets et techniciens de chantier ;
Procéder à l’analyse et l’élaboration des rapports environnementaux ;
Effectuer le suivi des budgets alloués par projet, approuver les factures et assurer le suivi de paiement auprès des clients ;
Démontrer du leadership et de l’engagement dans le suivi à la clientèle et les communications et service-client dans l’expertise environnement ;
Assister à diverses réunions internes et externes de planification et de chantiers selon les programmes de travail convenus avec les clients afin de donner des avis environnementaux ;
Assister aux réunions de coordination, suivi et planification de projets et d’équipe ;
Participer à la revue des livrables dans l’expertise environnement afin d’atteindre des standards élevés de qualité et recommandations répondant aux besoins de la clientèle ;
Participer à la rédaction d’offres de services professionnels ;
Toutes autres tâches inhérentes au poste.
Profil Formation : Détenir un diplôme universitaire en génie civil et/ou en géologie ou en sciences naturelles et/ou de la Terre ; Expérience : Minimum de 10 ans d'expérience en conseil environnemental, axé sur l'évaluation et la réhabilitation de sites contaminés, certifié QPesa. Une expérience antérieure en gestion d'équipe est un bonus ; Compétences techniques : Connaissance des évaluations environnementales de sites Phase I et II et de réhabilitation, incluant :
oSurveillance et échantillonnage des eaux souterraines
oCollecte et analyse d'échantillons de sol
oPlan de réhabilitation
oProtocoles d'assurance et de contrôle de la qualité
Connaissances réglementaires : Compréhension des réglementations environnementales provinciales et fédérales, avec un accent sur les directives de la ville d'Ottawa et de l'Ontario ; Contaminants : Connaissance des contaminants courants ; une expérience avec les PFAS est un bonus ; Caractérisation du site : Capacité d'analyser et d'interpréter les données issues des enquêtes de site pour déterminer les contaminants et leurs concentrations ; Expertise en échantillonnage : Définir le besoin d'échantillonnage, déterminer les meilleures pratiques et évaluer la fiabilité des résultats ; Interprétation des données : Évaluer les données pour identifier les tendances, les changements ou les signes de stress environnemental ; Préparation de rapports : Rédiger des rapports d'évaluation de sites complets détaillant les risques potentiels et les recommandations nécessaires ; Communication : Capable de communiquer les résultats aux parties prenantes, y compris les propriétaires fonciers, les régulateurs et le public ; Permis de conduire : détenir un permis de conduire valide.
