Position FULL TIME FILE MAINTENANCE CLERK

Location Assiniboia 

Responsible to provide information, assistance, and exceptional customer service to all customers. This includes responding to general inquiries regarding store promotions, bulletins, and updates to promote the sale of merchandise and meet the needs, requirements and expectations of the consumer. Inspect all received goods to ensure the quality and completeness of the order, and when required order and receive products. Maintain shelf and display stock and organize all goods intended for sale to meet established standards. Update and maintain an accurate and proper markdown report. Performs general housekeeping duties (spills, display fixtures, washrooms, to ensure all areas of responsibility are safe, organized, clean, and tidy. Responsible for keeping the sales floor and back stock area clean of cardboard and debris including the disposal of garbage. Assist with regular clean up duties to ensure an efficient, safe, and clean location is maintained. Ensure all tools and equipment require to complete assigned duties are well maintained and safe to use. Report any concerns to the team leader for review before use. May process customer orders and purchases using the point of sale terminal to meet established productivity and service standards. Packaging products and completing cash reconciliations may be required. Implement price changes at store level, provide maintenance of in-store signage and shelf labels, keep price files up to date and organized, maintain customer and vendor master files. Co-ordinate maintenance of hardware equipment and software programs. Perform all other TRC/store operating system file maintenance functions in co-operation with other team members. Adhere to company loss prevention, security and safety policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge in hardware and lumber products is an asset. Able to work a variety of shifts in both Home Centre and other locations as needed. Strong computer skills. A pleasant and out-going personality. A desire and ability to work with the public. Physically able to do heavy lifting, climbing & kneeling. Minimum two years of computer experience in a business setting. Database knowledge required.
