What you will do:

The incumbent will teach a range of marketing courses in our Ontario Post Graduate programs at the introductory and advanced level. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to play an active role in curriculum development including decolonization, design/revise specific courses, create an effective and innovative learning environment for our students, assess student progress and achievement; work collaboratively with colleagues, participate in committees and related associations. The incumbent will also support student advising, student recruitment, graduate placement, assist with the promotion and marketing of programs and develop and maintain strong industry ties, with an emphasis on supporting the Program Coordinator. A business focus and team approach are stressed.

Qualifications

What you bring to the role:

Education:

Minimum of a Master’s degree in advanced or digital Marketing or a Masters of Business Administration with a marketing focus; PhD in a business-related discipline or DBA would be an asset.

Experience

Minimum five years relevant agency or industry experience Minimum three years successful teaching experience, preferably at the postsecondary level Industry acumen and experience are required along with a demonstrated ability to teach several courses offered by the Longo Faculty of Business

Skills

The successful candidate will have engaged and effective teaching skills, demonstrated ability to coach and support students, demonstrated experience managing classroom dynamics, strong knowledge and application of current pedagogical principles, a student focused approach and a demonstrated commitment to fostering innovation and positive change. Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of principles of equity and inclusion, be a collaborative team player and be committed to a positive team culture. Possess well developed interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills and have demonstrated ability to contribute positively to curriculum development and delivery. Demonstrated initiative, strong written and oral communication skills with a high degree of attention and focus to detail.
