This position will serve as a consultant to both internal and external customers by providing technical, product, application, and sales support. Electrical Engineer will work closely with the sales team and ultimately be responsible for the technical ‘win’ during the sales cycle.

Sales Engineer:

Provide the sales team and customers with technical, product, and application support.  Assist the sales team with technical support in the completion of RFP/RFQ bids Prepare and present product presentation to internal/external customers Guide customers and help with product specification Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet client needs Develop sales strategies which will result in increased company sales Track and maintain records of all account activity within sales database Monitor market conditions

Requirements:

Technical and/or engineering degree or equivalent experience Industry knowledge/experience preferred (wire and cable) Knowledge of Microsoft Office required Knowledge of CSA Codes and Standards Minimum 5+ years related experience preferred Minimum 3 years experience with EPC's and selling to large customers Ability to analyze unusual situations and take appropriate action on a regular basis Ability to make complex decisions with confidence

Salary: $90,000 to $95,000 

Please note that, whilst not expected, the company may pay at a rate outside of the range for this role where appropriate. Actual compensation commensurate with the candidate’s experience, education, internal parity, role complexity, role level, and other relevant factors. The advertised salary range relates to British Columbia and is provided in accordance with the BC Pay Transparency Act. We recognize however that salaries are often driven by market forces in the local area where a candidate is based and accordingly the salary range may not apply outside of British Columbia.
