Core Parts of The Role Would Be:

Maintenance of Financial Models (35%)Liaise with Senior Management within various Business Units to collect relevant assumptions which drive Financial Model outputResponsible for developing and maintaining financial models that are distributed to Senior and Executive Management on a monthly and quarterly basisKey deliverables include, but are not limited to:This role will require the candidate to run and review output from detailed Financial ModelsResponsible for accuracy of data extraction and interpretation of data from various information sourcesEmploy and review advanced Excel skills such as Pivot Tables, Nestled “IF” Statements, VLOOKUP, OFFSET, SUMIFS, MATCH-INDEX, etc. to build efficient and accurate financial modelsReview Financial Analyst/s and Grad Rotational Associates’ work relating to Financial ModelsFinancial Analysis/Ad hoc Reporting (40%)Reporting requests may require the candidate to collect, consolidate and analyze financial data and key performance metrics derived from various sourcesResponsible for presenting results and providing analysis and insights to Senior and Executive Management within Business Units on a monthly and quarterly basis; including but not limited to insights and recommendations to drive better results and overall business performanceA high degree of flexibility, autonomy and attention to detail, often under tight timeframesKey deliverables includes, but are not limited to:Review Financial Analyst/s and Grad Rotational Associates’ work relating to Financial Analysis and Ad hoc ReportingThe candidate may be required to assist in other areas of the Accounting and Finance department and other business units as needs ariseEnhance Financial Analysis and Processes (25%)The candidate will work closely with the Senior Director, Financial Planning & Reporting to define, scope and implement enhancements to detailed Financial Models and Financial AnalysisAssess and recommend improvements to the Annual Budget and Monthly Forecasting Process, including the use of Budgeting/ Forecasting tools Proactively find ways to improve the technical accuracy, validation and organization of Financial AnalysisStructure key processes and develop relevant background documentation with a view to enhance efficiencies and manage riskFind opportunities and operationalize changes to reduce redundancy within processes and reporting, automate and streamline to reduce manual effort, time and risk of error in work that the team producesReview Financial Analyst/s and Grad Rotational Associates’ work relating to Enhancements implemented to Financial Analysis Processes

Four-year post-secondary degree; Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business preferredMBA/CPA designation completed Minimum 8 years of progressive and relevant work experienceMinimum 5 years’ experience managing a teamExperience overseeing/reviewing junior Team members’ workKnowledgeable of mortgage and personal banking products and features, lines and letters of creditHighly skilled in using MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word)Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including developing/running macrosAbility to work extensively with formulas, numbers and spreadsheetsExperience utilizing technology to gather and manipulate dataExperience using database query tools (i.e. SQL) is considered an assetKnowledge of financial statements and reporting is requiredKnowledge of financial modeling concepts is requiredPossess strong problem-solving and analytical skills Strong attention to detailStrong organizational skillsAbility to clearly communicate technical, analytical/quantitative or conceptual information and ideas using language that is appropriate to the target audienceStrong two-way communication and leadership skillsAbility to handle multiple competing priorities (multi-tasking)Enjoys working in both team and individual environments
