Job Description

We are seeking a full-time driver from  Monday-Friday and the occasional Saturday (every 5 weeks), starting at 6:00am  to join our team in Newmarket. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of metal materials to and from our recycling facilities.

Responsibilities

Operate an AZ-class commercial vehicle to transport metal materials to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies Safely load and unload metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipment and secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit Perform manual tarping if necessary Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules, report any issues or delays, and maintain efficient communication channels

Qualifications

Must be physically fit to hand tarp 40 and 53yd bins Valid AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract Experience driving 18 speed, manual transmission is required Minimum of 2 years of experience as an AZ Driver, preferably in a transportation or logistics setting Excellent driving skills and ability to navigate various road and traffic conditions Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and practices Customer service-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with metal recycling processes and materials is an asset
