Our  Chemainus  location is looking for a strong leader to join our team as the  Assistant Produce Manager  Reporting to the Produce Manager, you will co-lead operations of the Produce department to ensure an exceptional level of customer service and quality product is consistently maintained.

Schedule Requirements:

Availability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends ,and holidays

What will you do:

Oversee the produce department when the Produce Manager is not present on the floor; training, and scheduling work assignments. Supervise and training team members; Maintain product displays and signage Keep shelves stocked, organized and clean Receive orders and confirm shipments Perform other duties as required

What we need from you:

Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management and budgeting A desire to provide outstanding customer service A strong attention to detail and an eye for quality The ability to strike up a conversation and communicate with anyone A high level of motivation and excellent multitasking skills A desire to work with a team and independently A willingness to learn and openness to coaching and feedback The ability to comply with established department procedures and safe work practices

Physical Requirements:

Ability to safely bend, twist and lift up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis Ability to walk and stand for the duration of scheduled shift Ability to maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures

Education and Experience:

3 years’ previous produce experience is required 2 years’ previous leadership experience is required
