:Technical Service Specialist
Experience with automotive coatings application and/or automotive coatings experience. Knowledge of general paint processes - robotic applicators. Knowledge and troubleshooting paint quality issues. Knowledge of mixroom functions – inventory control, usage, material validation (viscosity, pH). Collect & record data including appearance (wave-scan), color (BYK-mac) & filmbuild (PELT). Manage relationships with manufacturing & engineering team at customer sites. Maintain key communication regarding daily projects, line issues. Initiate/participate in internal & external business meetings. Build relationships (all levels) – internal & external. Support change initiatives that help teams deliver value. Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while handling multiple projects. Able to work under stressful situation (quality issues/ spills). Good personality, friendly, outgoing - effective communicator. Ability to adapt to flexible shifts (day & afternoon shifts), weekend work, and OT.Qualifications:
High School diploma required. Additional education/college degree ideal. Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Additional education/college degree in Engineering/Technical field is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have at least three (1) year of automotive coatings application and/or automotive coatings manufacturing experience. Additional experience with automotive painting equipment is highly preferred. The ideal candidate must have an understanding of technical (lab, research, etc.) principles and practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while handling multiple projects at any given time.
