Kelly Engineering is currently seeking an experienced “Maintenace Planner” for the Dow site in Fort Saskatchewan, AB

Title: Maintenance Planner
Contract length: 12 months
Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta T8L 2P4 (Onsite)
Schedule: 4/10 – Monday to Thursday

The Maintenance Mechanical Planner is a person experienced in field maintenance and construction who has the skills and knowledge to create a job package from the work order scope. The package contains all information about required labor, material and services to ensure safe, effective and efficient execution of the work.
 
Responsibilities
  • Reviews work orders for technical completeness and return work orders to Planning focal point if not complete.
  • Follows Plan to Standard (P2S) operating discipline.
  • Carry out field checks when needed.
  • Prepare job package and input plan into SAP indicating the required resources, materials, and services.
  • Identify task activities and logic necessary to execute job plan.
  • Identify materials/tools/equipment required to perform tasks.
  • Identify/solicit safety information and requirements necessary to safely perform tasks.
  • Uses feedback from the Person Doing Work to optimize the job package.
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • Valid Red Seal or Alberta Journeyman Pipefitting Certificate.
  • Five (5) or more years of piping, exchanger, and vessel maintenance experience.
  • Have the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Current, valid class 5 driver's license.
  • Have a high regard for personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Able to work overtime when required per business demands.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate well, verbally and in writing, and have strong reading comprehension and listening skills.
  • Ability to read and understand piping specifications, isometrics, P&ID’s and equipment drawings.

Preferred qualifications: SAP experience/knowledge.
