• Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and develop nutritional programs to address those needs.
• Provide technical support and training to sales representatives, equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively communicate the value of our products and services to customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as a trusted advisor and resource for all their nutritional inquiries and challenges.
• Conduct on-farm consultations and assessments to evaluate herd performance, nutritional deficiencies, and economic performance.
• Formulate new diets and update current diets as requested by sales team and customers 
• Translating research findings and practical experiences into the animal feed portfolio
• Partnering with the Formulation team to monitor feed formulations to meet quality performance and animal health standards.
• Contributing to product development by introducing new feed concepts.
• Working with the least cost formulation process in close collaboration with the formulation team. 
• Work with the quality team to support quality control assurance and quality control programs
• Keeps track of new nutrition developments, innovations of innovative applicable R&D groups and companies outside Nutreco / Trouw Nutrition.
• Coordination and review of nutritional aspects and feed manufacturing implications of new and existing products with both internal and external groups 
• Supports the development of training, marketing, and sales materials for Nutreco / Trouw products.
• Calculates and assesses the relative nutritional values of various feeds.
• Work in a disciplined fashion and manage timelines with multiple priorities.


Qualifications and Experience:

• Post-secondary education Bachelor's or advanced degree in animal science, animal nutrition, or a related field. applicable practical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in beef cattle nutrition or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering results.
• Strong understanding of beef cattle production systems, including feeding practices, herd management, and performance metrics.
• Ability to quickly prioritize individual responsibilities and effectively manage time.
• Analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proven ability in accurate and cost effective decision making.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of livestock production and management and a thorough understanding of the local industry.
• High level of computer competency including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team environment. 
• Willingness to travel extensively to meet with customers and attend industry events as needed
