About the Position:

This is a full-time support staff Bargaining Unit position reporting to the Associate Director, Marketing & Recruitment working 35 hours per week at an hourly rate of $35.06.

The Internal Enrolment Advisor, plays a pivotal role in attracting and engaging prospective domestic students while supporting existing ones.

Tasked with promoting Lambton College as a premier institution for higher learning, the incumbent acts as a liaison between the college and potential students, educational institutions, and the community at large. They are responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process, providing program advice, and organizing/conducting campus tours to showcase Lambton College's facilities and offerings.

Additionally, the advisor leads the coordination of on-campus events such as College Information Day (CIP), Fall and Spring Open Houses. They also take the lead on the Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) strategy, coordinating and planning certifications, liaising with school boards, and driving the promotion of this service. The advisor also plays a pivotal role in the CRM strategy, which includes capturing and managing leads through the enrollment funnel, conducting data analysis, and implementing strategic communications via email and text messages at key points in the prospective student’s journey.

Specific Accountabilities:

Prospective Student Engagement, Advising & Support:
•Provide comprehensive program advising to prospective students, offering detailed information about Lambton College's programs, admission requirements, and academic pathways.
•Conduct campus tours for prospective students, showcasing Lambton College's facilities, resources, and unique features to highlight the student experience.
•Assist prospective students throughout the admissions process, offering guidance on application procedures, deadlines, and required documentation.

Outreach & Stakeholder Engagement:
•Organize and participate in community events to promote Lambton College's programs and services, fostering relationships with local organizations and community members.
•Provide support for Ontario College Fair (OCF) activities, including logistics planning, promotional material development, and onsite assistance.
•Develop and maintain relationships with high school counsellors, providing them with information and resources to support their students' post-secondary planning.
•Facilitate visits and engagement with government stakeholders, showcasing Lambton College's impact and contributions to the community and economy.

Event Coordination:
•Plan and execute College Information Day (CIP) and other key events, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
•Recruit, coordinate, and train student ambassadors to represent Lambton College at various events and activities, enhancing the college's visibility and engagement efforts.
•Lead the coordination of Fall & Spring Open House events, overseeing all aspects of planning, promotion, and execution to maximize attendance and impact.
•Develop and implement the Specialist High School Major (SHSM) strategy, coordinating certifications, liaising with school boards, and promoting this service to prospective students.

Communications and Analysis:
•Utilize Salesforce and other software programs to manage and monitor prospective leads through the enrollment funnel, ensuring timely and effective communication.
•Provide data support for niche programs and other functions, analyzing enrollment trends, demographics, and other relevant data to inform strategic decision-making.
•Implement the CRM strategy, coordinating email campaigns and text messaging initiatives to engage prospective students at key stages of the enrollment process.
•Manage info emails, ensuring timely and relevant communication with prospective students to address their inquiries and provide them with valuable information about Lambton College's programs and services.

Qualifications:

•At minimum a 3 year Diploma/Degree or Equivalent in Public Relations, Marketing, Business or Communications
•At minimum 3 years of experience in student advising or enrollment services
•Knowledge of post-secondary education systems, admissions processes, and academic programs
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Experience in event planning and community outreach
•Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
•Proven experience in coordinating events and managing logistics
•Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software
•Strong writing and editing skills
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
•Experience in data analysis and reporting
•Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities
•Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as required
