Pricing Assistant (Student Summer Job)

JOB SUMMARY :

If you like spreadsheets, writing formulas, and playing around with programming codes, we want to talk to you This year’s position will be working with a project lead to write, test, and install new formulas, and programming languages into our Pricing Team’s pricing spreadsheets. You will get a chance to learn about excel, excel formulas, and simple program codes being used in real-world applications. 

JOB TASKS :

Gathers and prepares information from SAP inquiry system Assists in the preparation of price quotations as requested using SAP inquiry system Ensures that customer purchase orders that require pricing are prioritized and completed in a timely manner Verifies that item specifications and priced specifications are aligned Enters pricing data into SAP condition record & price admin systems Assists with the review and investigation pricing complaints and discrepancies Assists in the preparation and submission of proposals to customers Assists with distribution of price list updates & pricing notices Assists with departmental projects as required

COMPETENCIES :

Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel software programs Must be able to work within a collaborative team environment Must be able to follow direction/instructions from supervisor Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal Must have good time-management and organizational skills Must have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy Must have strong math and analytical skills

REQUIRMENTS :

Secondary school (High School) diploma, or equivalent, or In the process of receiving High School diploma, or equivalent

PREFERRED :

Some university or college experience Experience or interest in any of the following areas: Accounting, Pricing, Computer Sciences, Math, Statistics.
