Maxim is currently seeking a HEAVY DUTY TRUCK & TRAILER TECHNICIAN for our Edmonton Location. The successful candidate will work independently to complete the diagnostics, service and repair of heavy duty trucks and trailers. This is a great opportunity to offer outstanding customer satisfaction while working as a valuable member of Maxim’s prospering team

Hours:

· Two week rotation of day and evening shifts required

o Week 1: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday

o Week 2:3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday to Friday

· Weekend Shift

o Friday-Monday, 10-hour shifts

Responsibilities

Complete thorough and quality diagnostic, service and repair of heavy-duty trucks and trailers Identify potential and future problems Make recommendations on repairs or replacement parts Update the Service Manager on completion time changes Road test the unit to ensure quality of work completed Document repairs, parts, or problems encountered during repair process on repair order Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications

Journeyman designation Lead hand capabilities an asset Safety Inspections Certificate Interest in continually upgrading skills and knowledge in trade Valid Class One with Air Driver’s License an asset (for road testing) Positive attitude and team player Demonstrated problem-solving ability Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn in house programs Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding duties Familiar with tools of the trade and personally equipped with an adequate supply of hand tools
