Job Description

Preparing general and detailed mechanical layout drawings. 3D modelling of process equipment based on 2D drawings. Importing vendor-supplied 3D equipment models in stp format into project model. 3D modelling of piping systems. Preparing mechanical details Preparing piping plans, orthographic and isometric drawings. Preparing piping support details. Reviewing vendor and other discipline drawings for conformity with project requirements. Working with project engineers in determining drawing requirements. Conducting field measurements and verification of existing systems.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited technologist or technician course or equivalent combination of academic training and practical experience. Experience with AutoCAD. Strong experience with 3D design software PDMS and/or E3D.

Assets

Knowledge of SmartPlant 3D and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D Knowledge of pipe support design Knowledge of piping layout conventions.
