Responsibilities:
Inspecting, servicing, and maintaining trailers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance Adjusting, testing, and repairing braking systems trailer suspensions, electrical systems, and offloading systems Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts Repairing damaged equipment parts and perform major repair work when necessary, including some cutting where needed Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on a verity of trailer styles Consulting with other Mechanics and Supervisor when neededDesired skills and Experience:
Trade Certification or Red Seal as a Heavy-Duty Trailer Mechanic At least 3 years of experience as a Heavy-Duty Trailer Mechanic Must have a Class 5 driver’s license at minimum - Class 3 is preferred CVIP license Understanding of computer testing technologies Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, trailer related equipment and cutting abilities Ability to lift heavy parts Ability to work after-hours if required Good communication skills-
