The PLC is often the busiest Emergency Department in the province and the quaternary Vascular Centre for Southern Alberta, Southwestern Saskatchewan, and Southeastern British Columbia. PLC Diagnostic Imaging (DI) is an interdisciplinary team that provides people-centered care with an emphasis on working together. The PLC DI Team takes pride in our high-quality service to the City of Calgary and surrounding area and in all we do for our patients, colleagues, and community. As a PLC DI MRT II, you will have the unique opportunity of working together with team of high preforming Technologists, Radiologist and RN’s supporting established workflows managing inpatient, outpatient and Emergency patient examinations. This position will be preforming and supporting imaging in CT scan and Interventional Radiology with on call that requires standing and wearing lead for long periods of time. These positions are most suited for physically fit candidates who can handle stressful lifesaving situations and undetermined outcomes.

Description:

As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will perform specialized technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You may perform specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for Physician/Radiologist review, interpret physician requisitions and assist with the care and maintenance of imaging equipment.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

ACMDTT enhanced practice licensure as required.Venipuncture certification required.Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) certification as required.Connect Care Training.N95 fitting.
