Sr.Java Developer

Global Financial Firm located in MISSISSAUGA, ON has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Sr.Java Developer

"This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule.
You will need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iphone for remote access into the client systems during remote work.
We will be expected in the office weekly 3 days depending on the team requirement.

****Video/ f2f interviews are required prior to all offers.

- Sr Java resource with experience in Java/J2EE, Hadoop, Scala, Hive, Impala, Kafka and Elastic to implement regulatory requirements;
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases and operating systems;
- Experience developing high-performance multi-threaded applications;
- Good knowledge of design patterns and providing solutions to complex design issues, identify and fix code issues;
- Experience with source code management tools such as Bitbucket;
- Critically evaluate the current processing and recommend process efficiencies / enhancements;
- Work closely with Technology partners to ensure the Business requirements are met by the development

- 7+ years experience in implementing enterprise level Java Development projects with end to end cycles using a stack of related technologies. Strong technical knowledge & experience in Java/J2EE, Hadoop, Scala, Hive, Impala, Kafka and Elastic alongwith focus on data analysis, good to have Python.
- Must have experience with mainstream data analysis tools (Excel , Access etc)
- Strong written and oral communication skills & analytical skills
