Position: Nurse Practitioner
Location: Bend, OR 97701
Contract Duration: ASAP - 10/28/2024 (Possible Extension for the right candidate)
Schedule: 8 am - 04:30 pm
Pay rate: $75 - 85/hr
Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner serves adults and children of ages five years and older for Well Child appointments, or of ages two years and older for illness and medical care.
Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of the Physician.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs.
Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition. Provides written home-going instructions.
Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
Maintains medical records using EPIC
Educates and coaches nursing staff on best nursing practices.
Other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements:
At least 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary/Urgent care, family practice, or emergency department setting.
Must have current/recent experience with EPIC
Must have an active BLS
Prescribing Medicines
Active NP License in Oregon
