Title of Course

VISA 1Q99 Contemporary Issues in the History of Western Art Fall Term D2 SYNCH

Analysis of key issues in the history of Western art, including various ways of looking at the visual past and present. Focus on the visual arts from prehistory through the early 20th century. 
Schedule: Fall Term (Duration 2) Tuesday and Thursday1500-1630

Delivery Method: SYNCH

Compensation

Effective September 1, 2024 - $7, per half course (195 hours nominally)
Effective September 1, 2024 - $14, per full course (390 hours nominally)
Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Duties

Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article of the Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).

Qualifications

in Art History is required. 
2.Previous university teaching experience in Art History is required.
3. A record of relevant professional research, publications or curatorial work required.
4.Evidence of successful teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
