Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor expenses, track costs, and ensure project budgets are met.
- Implementing cost-saving measures while maintaining quality standards.
- Interact with clients, engineers, and detailers. Address client concerns, provide updates, and manage expectations.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address challenges to prevent delays or cost overruns.
- Mediate relationships between client, field support, and office team.
- Lead and motivate project team including project coordinator, rebar detailer, contractor, and subcontractors.
- Organize and attend regular meetings to address concerns and provide feedback as well as maintain schedules.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are highly recommended.
- Monthly invoice review and approval.
- Clear understanding of structural drawings.
- Quality control of material listings prior to fabrication.
- Prepare fabrication packages provided by detailers for yard production.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Project management within the construction industry or more specifically the rebar industry.
- Experience as a rebar detailer or in a similar role is beneficial.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools such as AutoCAD, RebarCAD, and Microsoft.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, rebar detailing, and fabrication.
- Excellent leadership skills to manage and mentor project team members.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and team members is a huge asset.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
- Strong decision-making skills in handling complex project issues.
- Understanding construction scheduling deadlines and forecasting foreseeable changes.
- Punctual, reliable, and independent worker.
