Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Monitor expenses, track costs, and ensure project budgets are met.
  • Implementing cost-saving measures while maintaining quality standards.
  • Interact with clients, engineers, and detailers. Address client concerns, provide updates, and manage expectations.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address challenges to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Mediate relationships between client, field support, and office team.
  • Lead and motivate project team including project coordinator, rebar detailer, contractor, and subcontractors.
  • Organize and attend regular meetings to address concerns and provide feedback as well as maintain schedules.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills are highly recommended.
  • Monthly invoice review and approval.
  • Clear understanding of structural drawings.
  • Quality control of material listings prior to fabrication.
  • Prepare fabrication packages provided by detailers for yard production.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Project management within the construction industry or more specifically the rebar industry.
  • Experience as a rebar detailer or in a similar role is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools such as AutoCAD, RebarCAD, and Microsoft.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, rebar detailing, and fabrication.
  • Excellent leadership skills to manage and mentor project team members.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and team members is a huge asset.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Strong decision-making skills in handling complex project issues.
  • Understanding construction scheduling deadlines and forecasting foreseeable changes.
  • Punctual, reliable, and independent worker.
