Reporting to the Controller, you will play a key role in the finance group and bring a proven track record in financial reporting, analysis and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Work with Controller to provide analysis and insight into the financial performance of the business
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather budget and forecast information
  • Support the Controller in developing and monitoring the annual budget and forecasts
  • Assist in the analysis of budget variances and recommend corrective action
  • Support the Controller in establishing and maintaining robust internal controls
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiencies
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Assist in preparation for the annual audit engagement
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to the junior finance team

What the successful candidate will bring:
  • CPA designation or near completion
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or processing industry
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving abilities
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and taxation
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • The ability to manage time and meet reporting deadlines
  • High level skills in manufacturing accounting and standard product costing
  • Previous experience with ERP systems
  • Enjoy being part of a growing company and making a big contribution to its success
  • Proven ability in coaching and mentoring junior staff
