AltaGas - Senior Partner, Learning and Development

This is a new and exciting opportunity reporting to the Senior Director, Talent designing, building, and implementing Altagas' Learning and Development function.

You Will:

Build AltaGas’ new learning and development function including designing and implementing multi-model approaches and strategies over a multi-year time horizon – note this is a build (not operate) role

Ensure learning and development efforts are prioritized, skill based, and enable the execution of our overall business strategies

Support and drive an organizational commitment to internal employee growth and development

Address the complexities of development needs across different business units and geographies, often with different starting points and priorities

Ensure diverse development and learning methods (multi-modal) are considered and embedded into the learning and development approach

Evaluate learning and development options through high quality business cases

Work closely with vendors and internal partners to source, develop and deliver high quality programming

Facilitate sessions as required to all levels of the organization (in both virtual and in person settings)

Assess and measure the effectiveness and impact of development plans and programs

Manage to overall learning and development budget

You Have:

Experience in building a learning and development function (or similar)

Minimum of 7 years in Learning and Development with experience in creating and executing learning strategies as well as designing and delivering programs

Strong communication skills and facilitation skills

Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills

Critical and creative thinker 

Drive for execution and results

Experience in sourcing and managing vendor (external) partnerships and relationships

Project scoping, planning and management

Budget management

MS Office

Learning management systems (LMS) experience

Bachelors degree in HR, psychology, education, business, or a related field
