Position Summary

As a Grounds Maintenance Worker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and functionality of our outdoor facilities. Working under the supervision of the Grounds Manager, you will perform a variety of tasks to ensure that our grounds are clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing for guests and visitors. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for outdoor maintenance

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and trimming grass and shrubs.Operate and maintain landscaping equipment including lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools.Plant, water, and fertilize flowers, trees, and shrubs according to seasonal schedules and landscaping plans.Remove weeds, debris, and litter from outdoor areas including pathways, parking lots, and recreational areas.Assist in the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems, drainage systems, and outdoor lighting fixtures.Monitor grounds for signs of damage, erosion, or pest infestations, and report any issues to the Grounds Manager.Participate in special projects such as landscaping renovations, seasonal decorations, and event setup.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or related field preferred.Knowledge of basic landscaping techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges as required.Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
