Area of Responsibility

General Management

Promotes and provides a safe workplace and support the implementation of health & safety programs. Maintains systems to ensure the most cost-effective selection and monitoring of transportation providers. Pulp movement: Verifies site loading requirements to ensure adequate and timely truck and railcar supply.Orders trucks and co-ordinate railcar requirements.Co-ordinates truck movement with Truck Company, Operations and transload facility.Co-ordinates with transload facility to prevent/mitigate operational upsets at facility.Manages truck and railcar loading to ensure efficiency.Manages railcar movement and loading in order to minimize demurrage.Updates and communicates with appropriate parties available inventory through LTR.Validates railcar information/weights for Accounting.Updates booking schedules.Scans and mails BL to Transportation Company. Process Container Summaries: Verifies and maintains accurate inventory at all Slocs in SAP.Provides assistance with GR entries; perform all TP (including diversions) and PGI transactions.Maintains and issues regular shipment and container summary reports related to inventory loading, movement and sales.Submits Cargo Summary information to Export Documentation Specialist to forward onto shipping lines per their specifications.Validates Shipping lines Draft BOL’s.Manages the Vessel bookings. Inventory Management: Ensures all inventory is tracked, monitored and entered correctly into SAP.Ensures all pulp damaged during trucking is tracked and resolved.Adjusts inventory to correct miscounts and paperwork errors.Manages damaged pulp returns and repulp in SAP Process & Procedures: Ensures adequate and current documentation of processes and procedures for workgroup area; validates and uploads all cost for freight accruals in SAP and monitors changes.Month end reporting

Shipping

Coordinates incoming and outgoing shipments of material with transportation suppliers. Prepares all documentation, maintain records and coordinate shipments. Prepares shipping paperwork and complete transaction in appropriate system. Ensures product selection meets Customer’s quality expectations.

Planning, Policies, Procedures and Controls

Maintains knowledge of current international import / export regulatory regulations. Documents new and/or update standard operating procedures. Reviews and audit freight bills for billing accuracy. Complies with QMS (ISO 9001), EM (ISO 14001) and OHSAS (18001) standards.

Supplier and Customer Management

Maintains effective communications with the Pulp Sales, and Logistics group to ensure current and consistent understanding of customer issues and expectations. Schedules and coordinates Domestic and International freight transactions meeting customer shipping schedule and requested ship dates.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience, preferably with a University Degree and/or PLog designation. The incumbent requires good communication skills, personal computer proficiency and the ability to achieve results in a team environment. Flexible, well organized and be able to multi-task. Excellent written, verbal, listening skills; Demonstrated ability to organize and plan to achieve established objectives A record of safety and environmental compliance High skill level of Office Software programs Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable with working in a team environment and interacting with employees at all levels. Demonstrated high standards of integrity combined with a track record of excellence in performance Adaptable and understands complex and constantly changing business environment. Able to keep pace with a company going through significant growth and change A high sense of urgency with regards to operational requirements
