An overview of your future role at BBA

Provide technical support to the firm's clients. Carry out programming and simulation verification for protective relay settings. Perform pre-operational verifications and commissioning of new electrical substations. Troubleshoot various electrical devices (mainly control and protection). Draft verification, anomaly and follow-up reports. Ensure client satisfaction. Comply with safety requirements and regulations. Draft plans and specifications and various technical reports (studies, letters, memos, etc.) and help prepare them. Monitor and manage projects. Supervise new recruits in terms of testing, maintenance, etc. Support electrical equipment commissioning teams.

Overview of certifications andjob requirements

Diploma of college studies (DCS) in electrical engineering techniques, industrial electronics, electrodynamics, bachelor’s degree or other equivalent studies From 5 to 15 years relevant work experience Available to work on site and client premises 100% of the time Experience in writing calls for tender, proposals and technical specifications Strong knowledge of programming and testing protective relays Proficient with test equipment Excellent knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook) Bilingual essential, both written and spoken (English and French) Available to work anywhere in Canada Asset: Knowledge of electrical testing on power equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, etc.) Asset: knowledge of the IEC 61850 standard Asset: Journeyman electrician certificate
