Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Clinical Practice Manager – South, the Clinical Practice Leader (CPL) maintains a clinical practice in their area of specialty, fosters clinical pharmacy practice development, and contributes to the advancement of clinical practice. The CPL is recognized as an expert clinical practitioner and serves as a resource for an area of specialty. A key component of this position includes providing clinical support and mentorship and facilitating training for pharmacy staff in Central and Southern Alberta (defined as Calgary, Central, and South zones). Advancement of clinical practice is achieved through developing and ensuring implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and standards as well as research or scholarly contributions to the medical and pharmacy literature. The CPL functions as a leader, mentor, and change agent. Duties may involve travel within the area of responsibility. Location will be negotiable.

Description:

As a Pharmacist II, you will provide clinical leadership for the activities of the Pharmacy Department or region. This includes training and general instruction for staff along with providing specialized knowledge and expertise in regards to pharmacy practice.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).

Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

Proven ability to foster partnerships with stakeholders inside and outside of Pharmacy. Ability to think in abstract concepts related to the future provision of pharmacy practice. Membership with the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists.
